Before you can use EMIS Mobile you need to configure your EMIS Web organisation.
The Mobile option will only be available if you have ordered the product and had the functionality enabled.
Once the Mobile option has been ordered and enabled navigate to Configuration > Organisation Configuration - select Organisation in the menu, select the organisation and click on Edit. Scroll down within Organisation Details and select Yes next to Allow Mobile access?
For each user who wishes to use EMIS Mobile, navigate to Users, select the user and click on Edit. Under Mobile Details select Yes next to Allow Mobile Access.
Ask the user to download the EMIS Mobile App from either the App Store (IOS) or Google Play store (Android) onto their device. Once installed ask them to open the App. The user will be presented with the EMIS Mobile login screen:
The first time the user opens EMIS Mobile, the device will not have been authenticated for use with EMIS Mobile
The user will enter their credentials (same ones they use for EMIS Web desktop). They will then be prompted to verify their email address (the one entered in their EMIS Web profile).
A verification email will be sent to the email address
Enter the verification code into EMIS Mobile
Configuring appointments for EMIS Mobile
When creating appointment sessions for EMIS Mobile, you may need to consider a slight change to your appointment building process.
For example, if you manage home visit appointments as a list, you need to change the configuration of the session to a non-list session category and apply it to the relevant user(s) as a single or joint session holder.
Add a new session category for EMIS Mobile
Access the Appointment Book and navigate to Appts Config. Within the Appts Config screen select Organisation Options > Session Categories > Add.
Fill out the Add new Session Category screen as appropriate, ensuring that you select Non-list session types and tick Available for mobile.
Edit an existing session category for EMIS Mobile
Either edit the Session Category in an existing Appointment Book or in a new appointment book, select Mobile in the Session Category.
Wherever this session category has been applied to the appointment book, the appointments will now be enabled for mobile use.
