EMIS are continuing to investigate the issue that is preventing some PCN Hub consultations being written back to the GP Practice, and they remain confident that it is only impacting a very small percentage of consultations.
EMIS have also increased the scheduler which has reduced the number of Consultations not be written back.
EMIS are still trying to understand the root cause of the issue, investigations so far point to a specific scenario relating to external registrations.
On the 7th February 2023, they introduced a pop-up warning to alert users when consultations have not been written back due to this issue. Furthermore, an error icon now also appears in the consultation status column.
During investigations, EMIS have also found that many of the issues reported to the Service Desk have not written back due to legitimate reasons and therefore will display a ‘blank’ status, which is the correct status in this scenario - Please see the table below:
The majority of Errors are related to No Usual GP and is usually linked to the GP Links Registration Status of the patient at their GP Practice.
EMIS Web Update 9.20.5 scheduled for April 2023 will address 2 Consultation Write Back issues:
- Edited Consultations will be written back
- Partner API Driven Consultations (i.e. accurx) will be written back
